About me
Judy is the owner of Viewshed, a landscape architecture, GIS, and Planning firm. She has worked with all levels of governments, regional planning agencies, and various private clients for over 25 years. Judy has extensive experience with public participation GIS and working with clients to implement geospatial tools. She has degrees from University of Wisconsin: Madison (BS, Geography, MS, Land Resources) and University of Maine (MS, Ecology and Environmental Science). Judy believes that GIS is a tool that can help to engage the public in the complicated problems that face our world today. She works with clients to tell their stories, represent data in an understandable format, and invite many people to the decision making process.
Judy is a member of URISA's Board of Directors, serving as the treasurer. She will end her three year term on the Board at the end of GIS Pro 2024. She also assists with the GIS Professional, occasionally helps out with the Professional Education Committee, and is a member of the GIS Pro Conference Committee.
