Pravin Mathur is an Independent Consultant . He is a Past President of Chesapeake URISA and serves on the Advisory Board of Virginia's Geographic Information Network (VGIN).
Till recently he was leading as the Senior Program Manager for the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) Program of the Department of Homeland Security (https://hifld-geoplatform.hub.arcgis.com/). HIFLD publishes and maintains about 500 data and imagery services on a national level that support FEMA ( Hurricane Ida, Hurricane Ian...), State Emergency operations and Fusion Centers and other special events like Presidential Inaugurations, the Super Bowl, etc.
Mr. Mathur has extensive experience working with Federal, State, Local and Non profit agencies, supporting them in all aspects of GIS, Asset Management, GIS program set up to management. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of GIS at Clark Nexsen, an Architecture and Engineering firm where he led field operations and facilities management related projects for the Navy, National Guard, etc. as well as supporting civil side GIS projects at schools and campuses like Virginia Tech, UNC, VMI to name a few. He also led the Team at the City of Richmond that supported the World Bicycle Championship event from site selection to the event planning and support.
Mr. Mathur has a Masters in Urban Spatial Analytics from the University of Pennsylvania.
