About me
Kevin Volz currently heads the Technology and GIS department at DVD Landscape Architects, Inc. based in southern California. With over 15 years of professional experience, his key responsibilities include leadership, innovation and technology, GIS program management, and project coordination.
He has worked in GIS consulting and management in support of large and small municipalities throughout CA and private businesses throughout the nation. He is involved with various industries, including AEC, planning, public safety, transportation, real estate, agriculture, energy, and utilities, and contributes to diverse research projects. He's primarily concerned with implementing and leveraging technology to solve complex issues, increasing engagement, and making better-informed decisions to help improve our world.
He currently sits on the CalURISA Board representing the Southern Region. He has served as a mentor in URISA's Mentorship Program, is a proud URISA Vanguard Cabinet alum, and was last year's Chair of the URISA Professional Education Committee (PEC).
