Founding Principal of GIS Consultants, Bruce has been providing GIS planning and implementation management services, public policy formulation, and organizational therapy to cities, counties, and utility companies for over 40 years.
Bruce was Chair of URISA's Policy Advisory Committee, and past member and Secretary of URISA's Board of Directors. He has served as Chair of the GIS Certification Institute, as President of the BAAMA chapter of URISA. He chaired the second and seventh annual California GIS Conferences. Bruce was a member of the California GIS Council's UAS Policy Work Group, member of the GIS Council's Geodetic Control Work Group, Past Chair of the California Geographic Information Association, and he represented California on the FGDC Steering Committee.
Bruce is a member of the California Spatial Reference Center Advisory Board, and was a Board member of the GreenInfo Network. A long time ago, he earned a Masters in City & Regional Planning degree from MIT, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
